The ritual
How to use the Eclipse
Clinic results in three steps. Twelve minutes, two to three times a week, from your bathroom counter.
01
Prep
Cleanse with a gentle cleanser and pat dry. Apply a generous, even layer of Sonaveil Conductive Serum — or any water-based serum or gel — to the area you're treating. The serum carries the energy evenly and keeps the surface comfortable.
Tip: if the device pauses or won't stay on, the skin usually needs more serum.
02
Power
Remove the dust cover. Press and hold to turn on; tap Mode to set your level — the indicator shows Low, Medium or High. Always begin on Low; move up only when the warmth feels easily comfortable, usually after your first few sessions.
Never skip to High on a new area. Heat builds gradually — give it a session or two.
03
Glide
Place the flat gold plate fully against the skin so the whole surface touches, with the device pointing straight out from your face. The six red lights around the head confirm contact — energy only flows while they're lit. Glide slowly in overlapping strokes, 2–3 seconds per spot. You'll feel a gentle warm-stone warmth. Cover each zone up to three times per session.
Lift the device immediately if the warmth becomes intense. Warm, never hot.
04
Finish
Twelve minutes covers face and neck. The device shuts off automatically. Wipe the plate with a damp cloth, snap the dust cover back on, return it to the cradle, and follow with your usual moisturizer. Some pinkness for an hour is normal.
Rhythm: 2–3 sessions a week for eight weeks, then 1–2 a week to maintain.
Treatment map
Where to glide.
Jawline: from chin toward the ear, upward strokes.
Cheeks: from nose toward the temple.
Forehead: horizontal strokes, Low only.
Eye area: Low only, over the orbital bone, never on the lid.
Neck: upward from collarbone to jaw.
Body: Medium or High in slow overlapping passes.
Avoid the thyroid (front-center of the neck) and any active breakouts, cold sores or broken skin.
Quick reference
• Always start on Low and build gradually.
• Plenty of serum: it conducts and cools.
• Flat plate, full contact, slow strokes.
• Up to three passes per area per session.
• Lift immediately if it feels hot.
• 12 minutes · 2–3× a week · 8 weeks, then maintain.
Questions, answered.
Everything you'd ask a dermatologist before trying radiofrequency at home.
Does it hurt?
No. On Low, the sensation is a mild warmth, like a heated stone. Medium and High feel warmer but should never sting. Start on Low.
Is it safe for darker skin tones?
Yes. Radiofrequency heats water in tissue, not pigment, so it is suitable for all skin tones.
Who should not use it?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, with a pacemaker or implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, active cancer, or an autoimmune condition. Avoid open wounds and cold sores, and wait two weeks after injectables, peels, or laser. Do not treat directly over the thyroid.
Can I use it around my eyes?
Yes, on Low, over the orbital bone. Avoid the eyelid itself.
How long does a charge last?
About 90 minutes of treatment — roughly seven sessions. A full charge takes two hours in the cradle.
Will it cause facial fat loss?
The Eclipse targets the dermis, not the fat layer beneath it, and delivers controlled, lower-energy heating than in-clinic systems.
Do I need the serum?
Any water-based serum or gel works as a conductive layer. Ours is formulated to glide and to hydrate while you treat.
